How The Composer Eucalyptus Beard Oil Maintains a Shiny and Groomed Appearance

You loved when we told the tale of our peppermint beard oil; so it’s time you meet but The Composer Eucalyptus Beard Oil. Much like The Alchemist, The Composer was initially blended to be one of our premium seasonal releases. However, a world where this premium beard oil is only available in the spring is not one in which we wanted to live.

Playing Favorites…

A quick peak behind curtain, this eucalyptus beard oil, is one of Gentleman’s Foundry’s absolute favorite beard oils for sale in our shop. The Composer checks all the bubbles: its eucalyptus scent is masculine, green, and fresh, while it has subtle notes of citrus, wood, and flowery accents in one shot.

A Special Eucalyptus Beard Oil

FaltWe wanted to harness the power of eucalyptus without being handcuffed by its smell. While Eucalyptus is wonderful in way of a scent, a green scent is something we already have in our arsenal. We were looking to do something special.

During a walk in the great outdoors, you rarely have one scent coming in, it’s a wonderful cacophony of smells, a complexity we wanted to capture.

As we mentioned, Eucalyptus is the star of this beard oil, but it has a strong supporting cast. We wanted put a spotlight on the scent of greenery, given we already have a woody, cedar beard oil and citrus beard oil products in our roster. We all know eucalyptus as an aromatic, so we added some zest to compliment its scent with the meticulous blend that features a light flowery touch of lavender and a bit of zesty lemon. All this lies over the canvas of a cedar base scent, for a rugged twist.

Why Eucalyptus?

Composer Eucalyptus Beard OilHistorically, eucalyptus oil has long been used as a natural antiseptic due to its ability to prevent the growth of harmful bacterias and a light analgesic due to the cooling sensation it offers. As we’ve discussed, dry skin is prone to infection and harmful bacteria. It would seem a moisturizing agent like beard oil for men with dry skin would be the ideal place for this type of bacteria-fighting ingredient, wouldn’t it?

Eucalyptus also soothes irritation and helps in healing the skin. Most importantly, eucalyptus clears the pores of dirt, oil, and harmful fungus. Thankfully, this means no dandruff, the natural enemy of the beard.  This pore-clearing power is especially beneficial for the beard. A eucalyptus beard oil will promote blood vessel constriction and cleansing,  this “promotes follicle stimulation. The stimulation promotes hair development.”

Now we know that eucalyptus helps promote beard growth, there are some other important things one should know about it. For example, eucalyptus is a key ingredient in may shampoos due to its ability to promote thickness in the hair. Your facial hair will not only be healthier with the use of The Composer Eucalyptus Beard Oil, but it will very much look it. Eucalyptus is known to give the hair a healthy shine. This oil “can also increase the production of ceramide, a type of lipid molecules that naturally occur in hair strands. Ceramides help keep the hair cuticle intact, and prevent the loss of natural moisture and protein from hair strands. This in turn increases the strength, shine, and elasticity of hair.”

The Base-ics

eucalyptus beard oilWhile we’ve harnessed the natural abilities of eucalyptus, there’s one important thing we need to point out, something we’ve covered in the past. We can’t stress the importance the bases of your beard oil products and how valuable they really are, enough. Eucalyptus may be one of the most powerful, long-used essential oils on the planet, but there are issues with prolonged, direct contact. Too much of a good thing can be bad, and too much eucalyptus can have direct adverse effects and actually dry the hair. We’ve looked at the effects of eucalyptus and reinforced them with this base. This is why we came up with one of our most potent bases to date:

  • Argan oil is another popular ingredient utilized in our beard oil collection. Also known as Moroccan oil, it treats dry skin and keeps acne at bay. This powerful, natural moisturizer is effective in preventing itching, dryness, and flaking of the skin. All of the skin, not just beneath the facial hair.
  • Grape seed oil is considered anti-inflammatory, anti-allergen, and acne reductive. It provides moisture and locks it into the skin without clogging pores, too. Most importantly for the bearded gentleman, grape seed oil is proven to promote hair growth, according to a recent study.
  • Almond oil is one of the best natural products to provide hair with a healthy shine. Couple that with its ability to cleanse the pores and fight hair loss due to its high concentration of zinc, and you’ve got the prefect candidate for a base.

The blend of Grape Seed, Sweet Almond, and Argan oil works to condition, moisturize, shine, and soften the beard. This provides a healthy shine without weighing down the facial hair, much like eucalyptus oil does. As we said, The Composer is one of our favorite premium beard oils for a reason.
